Staff Applications

Creating a Staff Application does not guarantee a staff position in the community. The Owner will simply use your application as a reference when choosing new staff members. Staff members are always hand picked. They are carefully chosen by the Owner, and current Staff members will vote on the decision in a staff poll. Since Staff members are handpicked, it is especially helpful to be active on our Discord server.

Please understand that none of our positions are paid positions. You will NOT receive financial payment for your work. We're a small indie studio that, as of right now, doesn't really operate as a business - but instead is more of a group of people who just want to make cool stuff. By applying, you acknowledge that you understand that any work done is for volunteer purposes. In the event that a for-profit game or software is developed, a profit-sharing plan will be developed accordingly. Don't worry - we aren't going to sit back and profit from your hard work without you getting anything in return (though as of now, no for-profit projects are in development).

Additionally, do understand that any assets, code, or other contributions will ultimately to Elaztek Studios, and you cannot demand that we stop using the assets or code in question. This doesn't mean you can't show them off on your portfolio, nor does it mean that you won't be allowed to reuse your own work for your own projects later on (though this won't always be the case). It just means that you can't join our team, make massive sweeping contributions over the course of months or years, and then later on decide to leave and demand that we stop using your work.

Lastly - while there are no set time or contribution requirements due to the volunteer nature of being part of the team, we do ask that you make an effort to maintain consistent communication on our Discord server. If you are unable to make any tangible contributions to our projects after a month or two, you will be removed from the team. As a sidenote - if you do not make any significant tangible contributions to any of our projects, you likely won't have your name placed within the in-game or online credits page(s).

Please read every question carefully, and note that some questions only apply to certain positions. Most positions that directly involve working on our projects will require portfolio work to be considered.
