The Searing Exarch
The Searing Exarch is a fire-themed cosmic horror with overwhelming AoE damage and burn effects.
Access: Defeat map bosses while under the Exarch’s influence. Progression leads to a final encounter at the top of the influence line.
Mechanics: Fire beam attacks, rolling lava balls, area-denial hazards, and screen-filling spells.
Rewards: Ashes of the Stars amulet (a top-tier caster item), Eldritch currency (used to Path of exile currency craft high-end gear), and invitation fragments.
Uber Version: Features enhanced flame attacks, faster AoE cycles, and tighter reaction windows.
Tip: Stack fire resistance and use flask immunity to burning. Movement skill timing is critical to dodge overlapping AoEs.
The Eater of Worlds
The Eater of Worlds is the Exarch’s counterpart, themed around chaos, tentacles, and consumption.
Access: Similar to the Exarch, but through its influence line in the Atlas.
Mechanics: Black holes, consuming voids, tentacle slams, and a unique devour mechanic that can instantly kill unprepared players.
Rewards: Defiance of Destiny (unique amulet), Eldritch currency, and invitation pieces for high-tier crafting.
Uber Version: Far more aggressive with added layers of chaos projectiles and quicker devour phases.
Tip: Chaos resistance and fast recovery builds (such as leech or POE currency for sale regen) fare well here. Pay close attention to the boss’s wind-up animations.
